We’ve all been waiting for Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas to sing together again, right?
Oh no, that’s right, we don’t care. Hmm. Well, they are just the same, but they’re joined by some other Disney stars for the new song Send It On. It will help usher in Disney’s “Friends For Change: Project Green.”
It’s great to see such teenage emotion over cliched lyrics, though, so don’t miss the music video.
Disney just got the film rights to The Diary of Anne Frank — meaning that we can expect to see a happier, cheerier version of the story of a girl who hid from Nazis for two years before eventually being killed by them.
While the story’s been made into a movie and even a theater production before, Disney has never before been involved. I worry that there will be musical numbers in this one.
Do you think this is a good idea for Disney?
Oh, new love is such a wonderful thing! Hailey Glassman is singing Disney songs and dancing with woodland creatures in ecstatic joy. When she takes a moment to catch her breath, though, she gushes to the nearest reporter about how great it is to be dating not-quite-divorced-yet Jon Gosselin:

How insightful for a 22-year-old, who probably watched Jon and Kate Plus 8 for five minutes before realizing that’s what she should say to make him feel comfortable thrusting her in front of the paparazzi.

Wow! We almost got a Where The Wild Things Are movie waaaaay back in 1983. And it would’ve looked a lot different than the version that will soon be released.
Disney once owned the rights to the story, and even did a few bits of it to test how well they could incorporate CGI animation with their traditional style. Turns out they thought it was too expensive and not worthwhile… and they even fired the guy who’d been heading up the project.
So John Lasseter started Pixar.

Vanessa Hudgens rose to fame as a squeaky clean Disney star, but ever since nude photos of the actress emerged, it seems like she’s been ready to embrace her inner sluttiness.
The 20-year-old plans to do this in her next film, Sucker Punch, in which she’ll play a hooker:
“I’m playing a character named Blondie and it’s set in a brothel in the 1950s, so there’s not a whole lot of clothes.
It’ll be gun training, stunts, fighting and all that craziness. I can’t wait. I’m so excited. I’ve wanted to do an action film for awhile.
I think this is my time to really step it up and get to grow up. It will be somewhat different with the content and a few more foul words but that’s the biggest difference.”
I think Vanessa meant to say “nude scene” but let “action film” slip out by accident. Gun-slinging prostitutes? Maybe during the Gold Rush, but I can’t imagine that in the 1950s.

Megan Fox wants to avoid getting tossed into rehab, so she says she avoids going out.
Notice, please, that she did NOT say she doesn’t drink or do drugs… she just keeps it all private and pathetic in her own home.
Come on, Megan, I know you think you’re a genius, but some of us are super-geniuses who can still see through your brilliantly worded avoidant statements.
The actress explained why she doesn’t go out and how difficult dating is for her:
“I’m kind of a recluse — a hermit. I’m not really out that much because I have a great fear of Hollywood. I think you have to be a really strong human being to survive it, especially if you’re a woman.

No, that’s true. But put on some glasses, I think that might fool them.
I hope Billy Ray Cyrus got his message pre-approved by Disney, because last time he hinted at an end of the Hannah Montana franchise, the Mouse Mafia wasn’t pleased.
This time, though, Billy Ray doesn’t seem to be hinting at all. He told Access Hollywood that there will be a fourth season — but that’s it:
“Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year. She didn’t want to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to Hannah Montana.” (via MSNBC)
I wish this meant that Miley would go away… or at least not be shoved in my face all the time… but I have a feeling the end of the show won’t perform that function. I’m afraid her dominance will continue for a long time.
Declaring their chastity and wearing purity rings was like a huge invitation for scandal. The Jonas Brothers have made no secret that they plan to wait for marriage before having sex… and for a group of female fans, that seemed like a challenge.
They waited with a crowd of fans in Los Angeles, where the boys were filming for their new Disney show, Jonas. The girls held a sign up that read, “Take us… We’re yours!”
Kevin, Joe, and Nick grinned when they saw it… but their jaws dropped when the signed dropped, too, revealing that the fans were topless.
In case you were getting inspired, I should probably mention security guards quickly escorted the girls away.
It’s been rumored that Disney starlet Selena Gomez has been seeing New Moon actor Taylor Lautner on the sly. But Selena says that thanks to her relationship with Nick Jonas, she has no desire to date someone famous:
“I used to say that I wanted someone cute and nice, and an actor, too. But now I think it would be good for me to date someone who’s not in the business.”
Which means one of two things. Thing One: she isn’t dating Taylor and she’s avoiding stars and hogging the spotlight. Thing Two: Selena is pulling a Ginnifer Goodwin and lying so we don’t suspect she IS dating Taylor!
I’m pretty sure it’s number two. You can count on my intuition and detective skills, because I read a lot of Nancy Drew books growin up.
