Brooke Hogan went on the radio to talk about all the people she doesn’t like. And then she said she loves “every black person.” Too bad one of the people she said she didn’t like was Beyonce, who happens to be black, too.
Brooke must be experiencing so much cognitive dissonance right now.
Bootylicious Beyonce has decreed that her bum is off limits to photographers from now on.
Weird, right? Her curves helped make her famous, but according to the National Enquirer’s source, the singer is worried what some of those photos might reveal:
“Beyonce’s costumes are so tiny and the choreography is so complicated, she’s worried that the prying lens will reveal more than she wants. So she’s sent out an order that no one is allowed to shoot her from that particular angle anymore.”
That’s probably a wise move, though it comes off super diva. Beyonce doesn’t need awkward photos of her crotch or butt circulating… especially as she gets older and firmness gives away to sag. And to be fair… if I didn’t have the most terrific backside ever, I’d probably have the same rule.
Kelly Clarkson is understandably upset for several reasons.
First, Ryan Tedder co-wrote a few songs with her… and then offered pieces of them to other musician. Thus, Kelly’s next single, Already Gone, sounds extremely similar to Beyonce’s Halo. Thanks, Ryan.
Second, the fact that Kelly’s label IS releasing Already Gone as the next single is irritating the songbird. She said that although it was written first, it’s going to come across like she’s the copycat:
“I’d never heard of a song called Halo… Beyonce’s album came out when my album was already being printed. No one’s gonna be sitting at home, thinking, ‘Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyonce and Kelly the same track to write to.’ No, they’re just gonna be saying I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said, ‘I don’t understand. Why would you do that?’
In the end, [the record company is] releasing it without my consent. It sucks, but it’s one of those things I have no control over.”
That’s rough. Doesn’t it seem like there would be some contractual thing that would’ve prevented Ryan from whoring out the same arrangement to multiple musicians?
Beyonce’s music video for Sweet Dreams hasn’t even been out long… but we are already seeing fan videos pop up. You know you wish you’d made time for this yesterday after work.
I’ve always felt a little sorry for Kelly Rowland… she’s super talented, but always got overshadowed by fellow Destiny’s Child alum Beyonce. Sure, the girl group was always meant to be a vehicle for B, but Kelly was supposedly her best friend from childhood. Doesn’t she at least get a hand up from her superstar buddy?
I suppose if Solange didn’t get assistance from her sister, Kelly had no hope. But maybe there’s still opportunity out there for her, because Kelly was interviewed on This Morning (a British television show), and performed her song, When Love Takes Over.
Beyonce had no idea what she was talking about when she defined “diva” as “a female version of a hustlah,” because she forgot to factor in Michael Jackson, the Ultimate Diva.
The singer demanded that his London promoters recreate his Neverland ranch at his rented country house in Kent. Although he had to give up the home four years ago, he misses it. Now that he’s in a position to make demands, Michael insists on having a bowling alley and carnival rides, says a Sun source:
“He thinks he can recreate a bit of its magic in Kent and concert bosses are happy to indulge him. He loves bowling, so has insisted an alley be created and he’s never lost his love of funfairs, so has demanded one be built in the grounds.”
Wow… how do you think the owners of the property are going to feel about this? Michael’s only renting while he’s in town.
I’m glad that these kids don’t take themselves too seriously, but come on… Beyonce had back-up dancers. It’s kind of rotten for Kevin and Nick to bail on Joe.
A lot of musicians get irritated when YouTube becomes a haven for mashed up versions of their songs or music videos. Slowly that attitude is changing, as evidenced by Beyonce’s delight at fan clips of Single Ladies and Britney Spears encouraging her fans to choreograph new dances to her tracks.
One band has taken it even further. Phoenix recently released a video for their song, Lisztomania, but after seeing a popular fan mashup on YouTube, they said they liked it better and called it their “best video.”
I don’t know if it’s because she wants to help her fans or to keep her seats filled, but Beyonce just slashed prices on her concert tickets. Now, fans in North America can snap up tickets for her I Am… Sasha Fierce tour for a mere $20.
Not all seats will be discounted, though. Only 1,000 at every venue will go cheap — so if you want a $20 ticket, hurry!
