I know the Family Guy writers were pretty angry that FOX decided they didn’t want to use the episode dealing with abortion… but after a table reading (clips below), I can see what that was a good choice for the network.
While Seth MacFarlane’s show and others before it often attempt to address current events and issues through humor, this is truly crass. I wouldn’t want to see it. But for those who would want to view the episode, it will be available on the next season’s DVD set.
Watch the clips below and tell me in the comments section what you think.
Watch first and ask questions later. And trust me, you will have questions.
These men were probably just playing catch and lost the ball… and decided the next best item to throw and catch would be a laptop (they’re so cheap these days). But it’s become a huge trending topic on Twitter and gone viral on YouTube thanks to a contest promising a trip to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and free computer to the person who submits the most “extreme, crazy videos” to them.
Awww, this looks cute. I have no idea what Astro Boy is supposed to be about, but I researched (typed “Astro Boy” into Wikipedia’s search box) and discovered the following interesting details.
Astro Boy started out as a Japanese TV series in the 1960s.
The show made it into the U.S. in the 1980s.
The animation style developed for Astro Boy is considered to be the beginning of anime.
So now we have a movie. And a trailer for it, which you can watch below.
Disney just got the film rights to The Diary of Anne Frank — meaning that we can expect to see a happier, cheerier version of the story of a girl who hid from Nazis for two years before eventually being killed by them.
While the story’s been made into a movie and even a theater production before, Disney has never before been involved. I worry that there will be musical numbers in this one.
Tweet #499 was just sent. Won’t you start following Dishiness on Twitter for #500? Tell your friends to do the same, and let me know what you think I should mention in the big five-oh-oh!
New York, I Love You is a unique type of film… in that it’s an anthology. So many actors star and direct pieces of this movie that it’s difficult to categorize. I think it’s a collection of perspectives about the city that never sleeps… and while that doesn’t make it the Movie I Have To See, it might make it a fascinating watch when one is feeling intellectual or drinking a glass of wine or snifter of brandy. You might also want to wear a tweed jacket with patches on the elbows, just to really emphasize the intelligence.
I’m really looking forward to seeing The Time Traveler’s Wife, so getting a peek at some of the footage is exciting on its own. To have it set to Lifehouse’s song, Broken, is even better.
The song will be part of the movie soundtrack, so it all makes sense. You can watch and listen below.
To make your Friday seem twice as long, let me point out that there are people in this world who get paid to go on romantic rowboat rides and make out.
Am I the only one thinking maybe I chose the wrong line of work?
Trying to get things on track for today, but unfortunately we’re experiencing a few glitches that are in the process of being fixed. Please check back in a little bit!
