You have to wonder how it feels to be a perpetual celebrity tag-along. I suppose the best way to figure that out would be to ask Doug Reinhardt.
To be fair, he has a career as a baseball player… but he’s currently bringing in extra money by starring on The Hills. He also seems to get free travel and exposure via dating Amanda Bynes and now Paris Hilton.
Doug traveled Asia with Paris last week, and last night was photographed leaving Teddy’s Nightclub with her.
If he really liked these women, it would be different, but I totally get the vibe that he’s doing it so people see his face. I think he has “I’m a tool” etched across his forehead in invisible ink… someone put him in black light so it shows up. Then we’ll know for sure.
After Amanda Bynes announced that she doesn’t date actors, the news is out that she will date Minor League baseball players.
Like Lauren Conrad’s ex-boyfriend.
Doug Reinhardt was seen with Amanda at Mr. Chow’s the other night… which is an improvement for both of them. Doug’s definitely moved on and up from his former reality star girl, and Amanda doesn’t need to be dating a 35-year-old man, even if he is multi-millionaire Seth McFarlane.
Amanda Bynes is so cute and seems so down-to-earth. Need a reason to agree? Listen up!
The 22-year-old actress has decided not to date actors anymore, after an ex-boyfriend cheated on her:
“[He] ended up breaking my heart. I was so hurt. I’m a confident person, but it killed me… Obviously, Chace Crawford is gorgeous, but I wouldn’t want to date him. He’s too pretty. Maybe he’s a very smart guy and maybe he’s my soulmate but that’s not the type I go for.”
She went on to tell Cosmopolitan that after her break-up with the cheater, she lived with her parents for two months just to recover. Poor thing! Let’s hope Bynes meets an average Joe who isn’t “too pretty” in the near future — she deserves it.
Tonight, the Lifetime channel will be playing Living Proof, the true story of Dr. Dennis Slamon, a doctor at UCLA who developed the breast cancer drug Herceptin. Harry Connick, Jr. plays the good doctor, and has a supporting cast that includes Bernadette Peters, Amanda Bynes, Angie Harmon, Swoosie Kurtz, Tammy Blanchard, and Regina King.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so it’s the perfect time to learn a little more about the people like Dr. Slamon who are investing their lives to eradicate this disease. The movie airs at 9:00 p.m. EST, and includes an original song by Harry Connick, Jr. called, “Song for the Hopeful.”
Below is a clip of Harry talking about his involvement in this inspiring movie. Enjoy!
