It’s one of those days that a sense of humor is absolutely necessary, at least in my world. Hopefully your’s is a little better, but either way I think you’ll enjoy the trailer below for My Mother’s Red Hat.
Sometimes, I think we take our neighbors to the north for granted. Sure, they have that accent, and their money is confusingly similar to our own in size and color. But they are so polite. They produce great hockey players (and who doesn’t love a great hockey player?). And they gave us Ryan Reynolds.
So in appreciation, I’d like to extend some neighborly warmth and wish everyone (and especially those Canucks) a happy Canada Day!
And a happy birthday to Canadian Dan Aykroyd, who was patriotic enough to be born on the holiday.
Can you believe Canada shared all of these people with us?
I’m not sure who cast her… and when exactly they’ll be fired… but the famed redhead has landed a leading role in The Other Side, a comedy about a graduate science student on an island.
Because Lindsay definitely gives off that academic vibe.
Woody Harrelson and Alanis Morissette have also been cast in the film, and might be the only reasons to go see it.
This is good because it sticks in your mind. It is bad because I will be forever haunted by the image of Alanis Morisette snipping her toenails on a plane.
Seriously, though, participate in Earth Hour this year! I did it in 2008, and it was fun and provided opportunities to talk with other people about why it’s so important to conserve energy. And if you don’t like it… it’s only one hour out of the 8,760 you have this year.
After 20 years, Woody Harrelson and his girlfriend Laura Louie decided it was time to make things official. On Sunday, the two were wed in Maui. How sweet!
The couple celebrated with a Hawaiian chant and a blessing from a Hawaiian minister. Although the bride was dressed in traditional white, the No Country For Old Men actor took a more casual approach with khakis and a Hawaiian button-up.
Guests included Owen Wilson and Sean Penn, as well as singers Willie Nelson and Alanis Morissette — both of whom performed during the ceremony.
Sounds sweet… but it’s too bad it wasn’t themed as a Cheers reunion, since that’s where the Woody and Laura met.
