For those of you who were unaware, Hollywood is evilly planning to wreck another book. According to RiskyBiz, this disaster-in-progress is inexplicably Malcolm Gladwell’s Blink.
Why?
Blink is not a story — it’s academic material for non-academics, basically. But Al Pacino is going to star as a dad who wants to make some money off his thin-slicing son (and, you know, connect with him). Because I’m sure that’s what Gladwell meant when he wrote the book — that people should exploit their family members for financial gain if they have talent and skill. And that once that happens, a stronger bond will form and we will all live happily ever after.
Malcolm, why did you let this happen?
