In kind of a mixed blessing, Britney Spears just escaped having to testify against three old buddies, against whom she is getting restraining orders. But in order to get out of appearing in court, the judge had to declare her unfit to take the stand.
A restraining order against Adnan Ghalib has been granted, but the ones against Sam Lutfi and former lawyer Jon Eardley are being contested. In the mean time, the current temporary orders have been extended until there’s a final ruling.
It’s pretty clear that Britney wants to have the career back, to see her kids, to be in shape, and everything else that’s finally happened for her since dad Jamie took on the conservatorship. BUT… it’s equally clear she doesn’t want to be babysat, and this situation is only digging her deeper into that hole.
Britney Spears’ ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, might be heading to Afghanistan soon. It isn’t for an assignment, it’s more like for deportation.
The paparazzo tried to run over a court official a few weeks ago because he wanted to avoid being served with a restraining order. Now Adnan is in trouble and is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and a hit-and-run.
According to a source with the Los Angeles police department, deportation to his place of birth is a definite possibility:
“The country of citizenship listed on the legal files is where someone convicted of a serious crime will be deported to whether they hodl a green card or not.”
Oops. I guess ramming someone with a car wasn’t so smart. Who could’ve guessed?
Daddy Spears just found out his baby girl Britney is disobeying the rules. The pop princess was caught with a secret pre-paid cell phone, which she used to call Sam Lufti and Adnan Ghalib. Jamie got on the stand yesterday to testify about the discovery, and to remind the court that phone contact with Britney is violation of the restraining orders out against them.
It was a year ago this weekend that Britney Spears was placed under the conservatorship of her dad Jamie. While there were many reasons for it — like, Britney looks better with hair — one of the main reasons was that Britney was under the thumb of people like Sam Lufti and Adnan Ghalib.
To commemorate the one year anniversary of her father’s rescue, Britney just obtained restraining orders against Lufti and Ghalib. This comes a few months after rumors that the singer was still in contact with Ghalib, possibly hoping to rekindle their dysfunctional romance.
Hopefully the restraining orders are more symbolic than out of necessity, but either way it’s great to see she’s moving toward a healthier path.
Well, it looks like the gang’s all here. No Britney comeback would be complete without all the proper cast members. Her last comeback, Blackout, came amidst disaster — and Adnan Ghalib and Alli Sims were there to help the singer self-destruct.
If Adnan was sneaking back into the spotlight, you had to know Alli wasn’t far behind. Last night she was photographed on Hollywood Boulevard. What is she doing back in town? You guess, I guess…
Jamie Spears had better keep a close eye on his little pop star.
One of the more annoying Circus tracks, Mmm Papi, was apparently written by Britney for paparazzo Adnan Ghalib. Many blame Adnan for helping Britney spiral downward last year… and I’m inclined to believe there’s some truth in that. The two have been in contact even after dad Jamie ordered the guy out of his daughter’s life.
Britney’s type must consist of “scumbag.” At least the song was fitting in quality. Listen… if you dare.
Whoa, here’s bad news for Britney fans! The singer is back with Adnan Ghalib!
For those of you with short memories, Adnan is the pap-turned-boyfriend from about a year ago. His relationship with the star coincided with her scary spiral down, and many blame him for at least a portion of her problems.
The National Enquirer is reporting that Jamie Spears, Britney’s dad and conservator of her estate, is forbidding the relationship. Behind his back, however, the two are exchanging phone calls and texts.
This is bad, bad news if Britney has any intention of one day regaining custody of her two sons.
